Since joining TCCI at the start of 2024, Jin Zhao has led a fast-paced engineering environment focused on continuous improvement and advanced product development. “What I enjoy most is leading a dynamic team in solving complex engineering challenges while fostering innovation in the coming commercial Battery Electric Vehicle market,” he says. “We have a lot of cross-department collaboration and cutting-edge technologies discussions, which allows me to learn and share technical expertise with other outstanding colleagues. Seeing our projects translate from a concept into a reliable or sustainable manufacturing product fuels my passion every day.”
At TCCI Ningbo, engineering isn’t confined to a single function. From project management to quality control and new technology integration, the team’s work spans concept to production. Jin’s day typically starts with reviewing updates and responding to quality feedback through TCCI’s QSB (Quick Solutions for Betterment) meetings. Afternoons are often spent driving long-term process improvements, from drawing standardization to global development priorities.
