We know it’s possible to pursue profit and economic growth while also contributing to the social and environmental good—we’ve made a business of it.
Sustainability—it’s the new buzzword. But what does it actually mean? And how does TCCI incorporate sustainability into our mission as a growth leader in compressor manufacturing?
By definition, corporate sustainability is a business strategy that creates long-term value through economic, environmental, and social development. Simply put, it means meeting the world’s current needs without hindering the needs of future generations.
At TCCI, we set a corporate purpose to deliver sustainable solutions that make a global impact. We recognize the importance of being a responsible business across the entire value chain. It is our mission to integrate into our long-term business strategy, value and mission a unified portfolio of social and sustainable programs around philanthropy, operational efficiency, environmental impact, and diversity and inclusion.
At TCCI, we are:
We are driving the shift to electric as a leading global Electric Compressor (EC) Manufacturer for the commercial & heavy-duty sectors, as well as automotive specialty vehicle markets. We pioneer technology in electrification and support our customer’s plans for full electrification solutions including vehicle production, charging, route planning and infrastructure. TCCI was selected as the first company in Illinois to be part of the Reimagining Electric Vehicles in Illinois (REV Illinois) tax incentive package with our $20MM capital investment, retention, and creation of new jobs. Additionally, the state of Illinois has granted 21.3 million to Richland Community College and the City of Decatur through Rebuild Illinois. We will work side-by-side to develop a first-of-its-kind innovation cluster. Clean energy is the way forward and making the shift to electric and reducing emissions is key to a lower carbon future.
We believe in creating a culture of trust, diversity, and inclusion. We encourage employees to bring their whole, authentic selves to work so they may thrive personally and professionally. TCCI is nationally recognized as a Great Place to Work™, and as a global company, diversity is not just who we are, but how we operate. Together, we unite our different backgrounds, experiences and perspectives to become stronger leaders, engineers and thinkers.
We are a family-owned business rooted in philanthropy as a core commitment that has been passed on from generation to generation. We focus in areas of education, economic development, community revitalization, and nonprofit organizations that make an impact on grand challenges within our society. Our employees also contribute to the social good through volunteering, training, and community leadership support around the globe.
We know it’s possible to pursue profit and economic growth while also contributing to the social and environmental good—we’ve made a business of it. Our aggressive investments in product development and facilities in the US, China, Europe, India and South America have positioned us for record growth over the next 3 – 5 years. By accelerating growth through innovation and research and development investments, we will extend our range of product offerings and implement key channel strategies to open new markets and new application opportunities. We are always assessing market outlooks to ensure our business objectives align with future growth opportunities.
Sustainability is part of our culture here at TCCI, and we are confident in our long-term success because we are invested in our employees, our communities, and our environment. As a family-owned business, the same values that mattered to earlier generations still matter to us in our practices and approach. We look beyond what is in front of us today so we may develop technologies, products and processes that create a better tomorrow.
