TCCI was honored to celebrate a major milestone at the Illinois Manufacturers’ Association (IMA) Excellence Awards. Founder Jerry Demirjian was inducted into the IMA Hall of Fame, as a recognition of his vision, leadership, and lifelong commitment to advancing manufacturing throughout Illinois and beyond.
From his roots in Detroit as the son of Armenian immigrants, Jerry built a career marked by bold decisions and a constant dedication to hard work, innovation, and fairness. In the 1980s, he launched the compressor business in Decatur that would become TCCI. Today, his legacy continues to inspire our team on a global scale, as we shape the future of thermal management technology, clean energy innovation, and workforce development.
In addition to Jerry’s recognition, TCCI was also honored with the 2025 Workforce Excellence Award for our first-of-its-kind hands-on learning program, in partnership with Richland Community College, and was named a finalist for the Sustainable Champion of the Year Award. TCCI’s partnership with Richland extends beyond the classroom, serving as the foundation of the Clean Energy Workforce Academy and advancing training in manufacturing.
The honors at this year’s IMA Excellence Awards are a true reflection of Jerry’s clear vision for the future of TCCI- a vision built on innovation, resilience, and a commitment to people. His strong and dedicated leadership laid the groundwork for TCCI’s success and continues to shape the values that guide our work today across the globe.
