When RV OEMs approved a commercial compressor manufacturer about making an RV air conditioner, TCCI Manufacturing went to work, making a unit that may disrupt the marketplace.
“Five or six years ago, the industry was not ready for more electrification. Power was not as big a deal because RVers could plug in and be on the grid or run their generators. [Now] they want to be able to run these units with some of their smallest solar packages. With our unit, we can run it in a solar mode that is less than 10 amps of power draw and still provide air conditioning,” said Richard Demirjian.
